Pickleball Adventures Retreats

Pickleball. Paradise. Great People.

Our Pickleball Adventures retreats are designed for people who love pickleball, love to travel, and want to experience an incredible destination with a fun group of like-minded travelers.

We combine the luxury of an adults-only, all-inclusive resort with organized pickleball, professional instruction, friendly competition, and plenty of time to relax and enjoy everything the destination has to offer.

This isn't simply a vacation where a group happens to play pickleball. Our retreats are thoughtfully planned experiences where the pickleball, the resort, and the people are all part of the experience.

FAQ's

What Is a Pickleball Adventures Retreat?

A Pickleball Adventures retreat is a hosted group vacation built around one thing we all love: pickleball.

Each retreat takes place at a carefully selected resort and destination and includes organized pickleball activities, professional instruction, group play, social events, and plenty of free time to enjoy your vacation.

You can spend your mornings on the courts and your afternoons however you choose — relaxing by the pool, enjoying the beach, exploring the destination, trying the resort's activities, or simply enjoying a cocktail.

The goal is to give you the best of both worlds: pickleball and a great vacation.

Who Are These Retreats For?

Our retreats are designed for adults who enjoy pickleball and want to travel with a fun group.

Whether you're traveling with your spouse, a friend, a partner, or by yourself, you're welcome.

One of the best parts of our retreats is the community. Many guests come not knowing anyone and leave with new friends and people they can't wait to play with again.

What Does a Typical Pickleball Day Look Like?

Pickleball is typically scheduled in the morning so you can enjoy the courts before spending the rest of your day enjoying the resort.

Depending on the retreat, activities may include:

  • Professional clinics

  • Skill development

  • Group play

  • Friendly matches

  • Organized games

  • Tournament play

  • Open play opportunities

At our retreats, guests enjoyed up to three hours of dedicated pickleball each morning.

After that, the rest of the day is yours.

Want to hit the beach? Go for it.

Want to sit by the pool with a drink? Absolutely.

Want to explore? Have fun.

Want to keep playing pickleball? We understand.

Who Leads the Pickleball?

Our retreats feature experienced pickleball professionals who bring instruction, organization, and plenty of fun to the courts.

For our Sandals South Coast retreat, instruction will be led by Bill Tennant (M.Ed., HQT, PPR Certified Pickleball Professional).

Our goal is to make the pickleball portion of the retreat more than simply showing up and playing games. You'll have opportunities to learn, improve, compete, and have fun with the group.

What Is Included?

What's included varies slightly by retreat, but our goal is to create a package where you can relax without constantly worrying about what's included and what's not.

Depending on the retreat, inclusions may include:

  • Resort accommodations

  • Exclusive group pricing

  • Professional pickleball instruction

  • Organized group pickleball

  • Reserved courts for our group

  • Tournament or competitive play

  • Airport transfers

  • Resort dining

  • Drinks and cocktails

  • Resort gratuities

  • Welcome events

  • Retreat merchandise

  • Resort land and water activities

  • Exclusive group benefits

What Does It Cost?

Pricing varies depending on the retreat, resort, room category, and occupancy.

For our Sandals South Coast retreat, the group rate for the reserved standard accommodations is:

$5,130 per room

For two people sharing the room:

$2,565 per person

For a solo traveler:

$5,130 total for the room

The group received a 10% discount off the standard room pricing.

Other room categories could also be requested, with the applicable group discount.

Because pricing can change from retreat to retreat, we will always provide current pricing when a new retreat is announced.

Can I Travel Alone?

Absolutely!

You do not need to bring a partner or already know someone in the group to join us.

Solo travelers are welcome and are encouraged to participate in the group activities and social events.

Can I Bring My Spouse or Someone Who Doesn't Play Pickleball?

Yes!

Your travel companion does not have to be a pickleball player.

While you'll be busy on the courts during our scheduled pickleball activities, your travel companion is free to enjoy the resort, destination, excursions, pools, beaches, dining, and other included activities.

They are also welcome to participate in group social activities when applicable.

What If I Want a Different Room?

No problem.

We typically reserve a specific room category for the group, but you may request another available category.

Group discounts may be available on other room categories as well, depending on the retreat.

We'll work with you to find the room that best fits your needs and budget.

Do I Have to Play Pickleball Every Day?

No.

While pickleball is the heart of our retreat, you're on vacation!

If you want to sleep in one morning, take an excursion, enjoy a spa treatment, or simply relax, that's completely up to you.

Our organized pickleball activities are opportunities — not obligations.

What If I Want to Stay Longer?

We love when guests want to extend their vacation.

When available, pre- and post-retreat nights may be offered at the same discounted group rate.

This allows you to turn the retreat into an even longer vacation without having to leave the destination when the official retreat ends.

Availability and pricing will vary by retreat.

How Do I Reserve My Spot?

Each retreat will have its own deposit and payment schedule.

For the Sandals South Coast retreat, a $800 deposit per room was required to reserve a spot.

Because our retreats are intentionally kept smaller to create a more personal experience, space is limited.

Rooms are generally secured on a first-come, first-served basis.

Once a retreat is announced, we recommend reserving early if you want to guarantee your preferred room category.

Why Are Spots Limited?

We intentionally keep our retreats smaller.

We don't want this to feel like you're simply part of a giant group traveling to the same resort.

Keeping the group at a manageable size allows us to provide a more personalized experience, better organize the pickleball activities, reserve dedicated court time, and create an actual community among the travelers.

You're not just booking a room.

You're joining the group.

Is This Just a Pickleball Tournament?

No.

While some retreats may include tournament or competitive play, that's only one part of the experience.

Our retreats are about:

Learning.
Playing.
Traveling.
Relaxing.
Meeting new people.
And having a really great vacation.

You can be competitive on the court and still spend the afternoon doing absolutely nothing by the pool.

That's the beauty of a pickleball retreat.

What Makes Our Retreats Different?

There are plenty of ways to book a vacation and find a pickleball court.

Our goal is to create an experience that combines the two.

We handle the group logistics, resort arrangements, pickleball programming, court reservations, and group experiences so you can concentrate on enjoying your vacation.

And because these are hosted group experiences, you'll be traveling with people who already share one of your favorite things: pickleball.

You may arrive knowing nobody.

You may leave with a whole new group of pickleball friends.

What Happens After I Book?

Once you reserve your spot, you'll receive information about the retreat, payment schedule, travel details, pickleball programming, group activities, and other important information as it becomes available.

You'll also have opportunities to connect with other retreat participants before the trip.

We want you to feel prepared before you leave home — and excited long before you arrive.
